Cabeçudas House – Located at the end of Cabeçudas Beach, in Itajaí, Santa Catarina State (Brazil), the House has a suspended deck constructed literally over the sea. Designed in the 1960s by the architect Arthur Lício Pontual, the House is impeccably preserved and fully decorated by Marina de Sabrit (also an architect and interior designer). The two-living-room, six-bedroom and four-bathroom House can accommodate up to fourteen people comfortably. Wireless internet (2 MB), cable TV (37”), and DVD are offered for your convenience. Excellent cook service for breakfast and lunch is included. Barbecue equipment is available for your leisure.
Garage for four cars (two covered; two uncovered). Quiet dead-end road, where you can easily park your car. Permanent guard patrol. No pets, please.
Cabeçudas House, Located in a quiet dead-end road, Cabeçudas is built in wood and has glassed living-rooms with a wonderful seaside view. Built in a modern design, the House was projected during the 1960s by the architect Arthur Lício Pontual, and it has been impeccably preserved and updated by the architect and interior designer Marina de Sabrit. On the upper floor, a spacious glassed living, also with a marvelous seaside view, has deck-chairs where you may sit comfortably to see the sunset or simply to observe the sea. Cable TV (37”), DVD, wireless internet (2 MB). Dinner-room with a table for eight; kitchen and laundry fully equipped. Downstairs, there is a living-room with a round table and felt for games. Another area in front of the deck may be closed or opened, according to what the climate conditions. All this rounded by grass and by the deck over the sea. On it, deck-chairs, tables with parasols for sunny days, as well as a big shower. Also, on the lower floor, an open barbecue area is covered by glasses, in order to avoid that a sudden rain eventually disturbs your meal. A table with chairs completes the leisure area downstairs. Garage for four cars (two covered; two uncovered).
According to the legend, Cabeçudas was named after big headed ants that used to be found on the beach.
Bedrooms description. The House can accommodate up to fourteen people disposed in the following way:
On the upper floor: Two bedrooms, each one with a double bed. A complete and restored bathroom serves these bedrooms with excellent showers in glassed boxes and bidet. Two more bedrooms with a single bed and a bunk each. Another bathroom, with the same comfort, serves these two bedrooms.
Downstairs, there are two bedrooms, with a single bed and a bunk each. A complete and restored bathroom serves these two bedrooms; a brand new bathroom serves these bedrooms, as well as the living-room on the lower floor. Plenty pressurized water for showers, and gas heat. Closets and air-conditioners (hot and cold) in all bedrooms. Excellent mattresses and pillows, and pure cotton sheets and towels.
Services: A professional cook for breakfast and lunch included. She works from 8 am to 5 pm and may leave the dinner prepared if you like. The payment of R$ 60 a day is mandatory for a second maid, who works from 8 am to 5 pm.
Surroundings: Itajaí Market offers any fresh fish. Supermarkets and all necessary services are available. The restaurant CHEZ RAYMOND is 500 meters far from the house, and it is recommended (one star) by the GUIA QUATRO RODAS. Towards the South (a few meters), Praia Brava is full of good-looking people, waves for surf practice, several restaurants and a bunch of places for the night, such as Kiwi and Warung. To the North (also a few meters far), Praia do Atalaia is very appropriate for surfing. Beto Carrero Park is located a few kilometers to the North.
Balneário Camboriú – eight kilometers far; Navegantes airport (NVT) – less then 15 kilometers; Blumenau – 60 kilometers; Florianópolis – 90 kilometers.
The following prices include fourteen people ( 14). According to the number of people, it may be negotiated for, at least, seven people. Exceptions are Carnival and New Year’s Eve (R$ 2.500,00 per day, or 10 people, at least).
The price includes: Sheets, towels (for shower and beach), and cook service.
Second maid cost: R$ 60 per day (mandatory).
